Elspeth Hurse
Centre Manager
Elspeth has a background in education and leadership and has worked in remote and regional areas of Northern Territory, Western Australia, and Queensland. Her passions are equity and justice, well-being and empowerment of others, partnerships and teamwork, and creativity.

Sam Davis
First Nations Community Engagement and Support Coordinator
Sam is a St George Local who grew up in Thallon before completing year 12 at ST George State High School. He is very passionate about education and engaging the next generation of First Nations Leaders into further education.

Jessica Embrey
Learning Skills Advisor (LSA)
Jess graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Secondary Education. During this study, she majored in Geography and minored in English. Her philosophy in education is strongly focused on the core value that all students must have equal access to quality education and support. This ensures that, regardless of geographical location, students in rural and remote regions are provided with enthusiastic support and learning experiences.

Laura Ballantyne-Wren
Widening Participation Officer (WPO)
Laura will be collaborating with university partners to deliver school outreach and widening participation activities to support local young people in their post school aspirations.

Emily Geiger
Administration Assistant
Emily has worked in many administration roles over the years as well as owning a small business. After some time away raising three children, she is very excited to jump back into the workforce with CUC Balonne.
