About the Role

The First Nations Education Officer role includes building relationships with our local First Nation Elders, Businesses, Individuals, and networks to work together for a common theme, of improving First Nations Peoples success in further education.

Another main focus is providing the necessary services for Indigenous students to improve overall education outcomes and increase participation in further education.

First Nations Community Engagement and Support Coordinator Meet Abigail

Abigail Lang is a Gomeroi woman who has lived in St George most of her life. Her working background has generally been in Reception/ Administration Roles in the Health and Community Services Sector. She has a keen interest in business and has completed a Diploma & Adv Diploma in Leadership & Management. She is looking forward to her role in within CUC Balonne.
